The New TIP-SAFE Hydraulic Stabiliser Legs

Muldoon offers a new product to ensure STABILITY and SAFETY whilst tipping

Fleet Transport Awards

Tipping a trailer especially with a full load is one of the most dangerous truck operating procedures accounting for many incidents. These are largely due to tipping on uneven/ unlevel ground.

Tip-Safe has been developed for use on tipping trailers or tankers that use mechanical or pneumatic discharge methods, tipping from a static position.

The device incorporates hydraulically operated stabilisers linked to the trailers ECU. These allow tipping to take place on ground with a gradient of up to 4 degrees. By adjusting the stabiliser legs using levers at the rear of the trailer, a trailer can be evened up to a datum level. The ECU prevents the trailer from being tipped unless it is at an angle of less than 1 degree. A secondary warning light illuminates if the trailer is outside this envelope.

Whilst tipping, a safety device also ensures that the adjustment levers, which operate the stabilisers cannot be tampered with.
