Positive
Steering System

A
rear steer system will move in response to the
tractor unit and as the graphic comparisons and
cad drawings illustrate, a conventional steer
system will turn directly with the tractor unit
until it eventually reaches its full turning
capacity when the tractor unit is at 900 to the
trailer: Consequently the steer system is never
achieving its full potential and is therefore
less beneficial and effective than it should be.
The
Muldoon System design enables the axle to
achieve its full turning capacity when the
tractor unit reaches an angle of only 40°, less
than half needed of conventional systems, this
ensures that the trailer is utilising and
benefiting from the steer system at all times.
It is doing what the steering system was
designed for and giving a smaller turning angle
and better all round steering capabilities
