Muldoon's Positive Steer System incorporates a cam and roller system driven off the fifth axle coupling, this makes our product unique. The geometry of this system has been specifically designed and constructed to provide excellent steering capabilities, offering superior characteristics over competitive systems. The motion is transmitted to the steerable axle using a pressurised hydraulic system which activates hydraulic rams to effect the turning operation.

The superior steering capabilities of the Muldoon system allows another major advantage. Because of the quick steering response in relation to the tractor unit, the front axle(s) are able to be situated further towards the front of the trailer than a conventional system. This, in effect, shortens the rear pivot point on which the trailer will turn, in theory; shortening the trailer to give an even smaller turning circle for tight corners and restricted areas. The improved axle positions also provide a better load and axle weight distribution.
