Our Background

Engineering Excellence Since 1976

Muldoon Transport Systems Ltd is a family-run business with 50 years of experience in designing and manufacturing specialist trailers and transport equipment.
We’ve built our reputation on innovation, quality, and reliability, becoming a market leader in bespoke transport engineering.

Built on Innovation

We continually invest in design and manufacturing technology to meet the evolving demands of modern transport.
By working closely with our customers, we create efficient, safe, and reliable solutions that deliver a genuine competitive edge.

Manufactured Under One Roof

Unlike many trailer manufacturers, every Muldoon trailer is designed, built, and tested entirely in-house. This gives us complete control over quality, consistency, and production times, and ensures we never rely on mass-produced components from overseas.

Craftsmanship You Can Trust

Each trailer we produce receives individual care and attention from our skilled engineers — many of whom have been with us for decades.

Their experience and pride in craftsmanship ensure every Muldoon trailer meets the highest standards of performance and durability.

Leaders in Specialist Trailers

We are the market leaders in Bulk Blowing Vehicles, and our range also includes:

  • Blowing Skelly Trailers for the plastics and sugar industries

  • Alloy Bodies, Drag Trailers, and Cement Powder Tankers

  • Bespoke rear-steer trailers such as Tippers, Curtainsiders, Flatbeds, and Double Decks, Vacuum Systems and Hookmate trailers.

Our pioneering Muldoon Steer Technology helped shape the UK’s long-vehicle standards — we were the first company permitted to trial longer vehicles on British roads.

Looking Ahead

As our reach continues to grow globally, more operators are discovering the efficiency, performance, and reliability that define the Muldoon name. Our continuous commitment to innovation and engineering excellence ensures we’ll remain at the forefront of trailer technology for years to come.

1976 - 2000's

Gerald Muldoon begins building specialist trailers in his grandfather’s blacksmith shed, laying the foundation for the family-run engineering business. Muldoon Transport Systems Ltd is formally incorporated as a private limited company in Northern Ireland.  The company expands its operations to two adjoining sites in Dungannon:

  • A purpose-built modern factory for new builds.

  • A dedicated facility for parts, servicing, and repairs.

2000's - 2010

Establishment of an in-house Precision Engineering facility and a dedicated Research & Development and Design department, enhancing control over component manufacturing and innovation.

Development and implementation of the Muldoon steer technology, a positive rear steer system, leading to the company becoming market leaders in Bulk Blowing Vehicles and other specialised trailers.

Muldoon Transport Systems Ltd plays a pivotal role in advocating for longer vehicles on UK roads and becomes the first company to receive special permission to trial such a vehicle, meeting all legal build and turning circle requirements using their steer technology.
